Josh Uche stars: The Patriots’ second-year linebacker was the star of the day on Thursday. While Bill Belichick noted in his morning press conference that he had “no timetable” to name a starting quarterback for Week 1, today indicated Cam Newton will be under center against Miami. The lone drive was Newton’s only one of practice. Newton also had a pass almost intercepted by cornerback James Bradberry. Newton completed two passes each to Kendrick Bourne and Jakobi Meyers before Damien Harris plunged in a touchdown to cap off the drive. Newton was solid and more efficient then Jones, leading an eight-play touchdown drive. Jones’ touchdown pass was hauled in after an acrobatic adjustment by Kendrick Bourne in the back of the end zone on a throw that likely was headed out of bounds.Ĭam Newton’s return: Cam Newton, who made his return to practice after his Covid-19 misunderstanding, was the first quarterback up for the Patriots in 11-on-11s. Jones’ main drive did result in a touchdown, but that too was not picture perfect. Jones credited the Giants defense for playing better overall today and specifically mentioned their safeties mixing things up on the back end. On the wiped-out interception, Jones was looking for tight end Jonnu Smith up the seam, but did not see the backside safety Logan Ryan, who jumped in to make the play. If Olszewski hauled in the pass, the storyline on Jones’ morning could have been much different. The drive featured an interception that was wiped out by a penalty flag, one false start, two fourth-down conversions, and four drops by Patriots’ pass catchers - one coming on Jones’ best throw of the day on a go-route to Gunner Olszewski, who had a step on the defender. Jones led the offense on a long, 20-play drive that was overall sloppy all-around. Despite playing second fiddle to Cam Newton, Jones did see work with the starting unit in 11-on-11s. Mac Jones’ up-and-down day: After a dominant performance by Mac Jones on Wednesday, it was an up-and-down showing by the rookie Thursday. It appeared to be a right foot/ankle issue. Double-spoke alloy wheels on the SLK32 AMG hold 17-inch P225/45ZR17 tires up front and P245/40ZR17 tires in the rear. The new SLK32 AMG gets a special, recalibrated, reinforced suspension with unique spring rates and shock-absorber valving. Xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights are available as part of an option group that also includes headlight washers and heated seats. Door mirrors feature integrated turn-signal flashers. The top-down process takes about 25 seconds. The trunk opens in two different modes: at the front to accept the roof, or at the rear to fit a small amount of luggage. Push a button on the console and the articulating metal roof raises or retracts automatically into the dual-hinged trunk space. Measuring 50.4 inches tall and 157.9 inches long overall, the SLK-Class sits on a 94.5-inch wheelbase that is 5 inches longer than the Miatas. Serving as Mercedes-Benzs smallest model in the United States, the SLK-Class is just a little bigger than the Mazda MX-5 Miata. Last years face-lift included new front and rear aprons, body-colored door handles, sculpted rocker panels and revised two-color taillights, along with the addition of a new rear stabilizer bar. Mercedes-Benz sold 11,268 SLK-Class roadsters during 2001, which represents a drop from the 12,930 units that reached customers in 2000, according to Automotive News. The SLK-Class models compete against the BMW Z3 and Porsche Boxster and cost about half as much as the V-8-powered Mercedes-Benz SL500. Introduced in 1998, the SLK230 was the first modern car to have a retractable metal roof an idea that harks back to Fords of the late 1950s but has occasionally been employed over the years. A six-speed-manual transmission became available in 2001, and an automatic unit is also offered. Both have Mercedes-Benzs Electronic Stability Program. The original SLK230 Kompressor uses a supercharged four-cylinder engine that makes 192 hp. Face-lifted for 2001, the SLK320 contains a 215-hp, 3.2-liter V-6 engine. Only 1,000 of them are destined for the U.S. It now comes equipped with a supercharged, 349-horsepower V-6 engine, racing-derived brakes and a new AMG Speedshift transmission.
